PATH VALLEY SPEEDWAY -- 9/26/03
Lack of preparation coupled along with a lack of experience made the venture to the Path Valley Speedway for the teams first ever micro sprint attempt one to forget. After burning a motor 2 laps into practice, the team feverishly tried to correct the problems and resorted to a backup motor in time for the B-main. After starting last due to missing the heat race, Duke Racing maneuvered into the fourth position 4 laps into the race as the second motor suffered the same fate as the first resulting in a wasted trip for Duke Racing.

GREENWOOD SPEEDWAY -- 10/03/03
On Friday night, Duke Racing decided to make the trip to the site of their 2001 track championship, Greenwood Speedway. This trip gave the opportunity to showcase the Illusion Racing Chassis and the entire Duke Racing karting operation as team management had decided to liquidate all of their karting assets in order to focus all of their attention on the micro sprint operation. In the qualifying events, Duke Racing finished second in the light division and won the medium class qualifier. This gave the team two front row starting spots for the feature event. In the medium feature event, Duke Racing would run in the second position for most of the race as the tires never came up to optimum operating temperature. Duke Racing challenged for the lead on several occasions, but could not overcome the horsepower advantage the leader showed and finished second. Too bad there was no tech on this night. The light feature race resembled more of a WWE wresting match than a race with tons of slamming, banging and blocking. At one point, a near rumble ensued between the flagman and the fifth place kart. Start a fight for fifth place??? At the checkered flag, Duke Racing was scored as third in a three wide finish for the top spot. The evening as a whole perfectly demonstrated the flagrant cheating, disrespect, and unsportsmanlike conduct that has seemed to infest the karting industry in the local area in recent times. It is precisely this reason that Duke Racing has chosen to leave the karting scene to pursue the micro sprint endeavor.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 10/04/03
Saturday night, Duke Racing made their way back to the Greenwood Valley Action Track. After raining much of the afternoon, the racetrack was very wet, which made a fast and tacky racing surface. Duke Racing lined up on the outside of row 1 for the qualifying event. Duke Racing ran in the second position for most of the race until a late race caution. On the restart, Duke Racing gave way to one car, but was able to qualify in the third position, which was good enough to make the inversion for the feature event. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing started the feature race on the inside of row 2. Happy with the car, Duke Racing team engineers decided not to make any changes for the feature event. Unfortunately, the track tightened up dramatically throughout the night. When the green flag waived, Duke Racing had trouble turning the King Racing Chassis for the first two laps and unfortunately hit a tire on the burm on the racing surface in turn four causing the team to fall to tenth place before an early caution slowed the field. During the caution, Duke Racing regained their composure and went to work on trying to climb their way back through the field. After racing side by side with Colby Wolmer for several laps, the car began to tighten up dramatically and Duke Racing was not able to make any more progress and had to settle for 9th place which was their best finish since graduating from the rookie program in June.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 9/20/03
Saturday night, Duke Racing ventured back to the Greenwood Valley Action Track for what would turn into being a double show program. With last weeks rainout, the micro sprint drivers were offered the opportunity to run two complete shows in one action packed night. Team engineers battled tight chassis conditions though most of the evenings first program. After starting on the pole in the qualifying event, Duke Racing quickly faded to thge fifth position by the end of the heat race. After team engineers tried various changes on the King Racing Chassis, Duke Racing started the feature in the 15th position. Still battling a tight racecar, Duke Racing was able to hold their position and complete the race in the position they started, 15th. After a quick deliberation, frustrated team engineers decided to go back to square one and set up the King Racing Chassis identically tot he setup the team used early in their rookie career. The engine department then went to work to tune the Skeetz built engine for maximum horsepower. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing started last in the last heat race for the second show of tonights program. However, with all the changes made, the King Racing Chassis roared to life during the qualifying event as Duke Racing stormed from the rear of the field to the fourth position, just barely missing the inversion for the feature event. Somewhat in shock, Duke Racing team engineers only made one small change to the King Racing Chassis and the engine department turned up the wick on the motor for the feature event. After just missing the inversion, Duke Racing started in the 12th position for the final feature of the evening. When the green flag dropped, Duke Racing dropped the hammer and sliced their way through the carnage. By the halfway point, Duke Racing was running in the fourth position and coming on strong in lapped traffic. With 6 laps remaining, a caution slowed the field and gave Duke Racing a shot at the leaders. When the race resumed, Duke Racing took a look inside the third place runner off turn two and the engine started to stumble down the backstretch. After losing one position, the bad luck bug bit again as Duke Racing pulled into the infield on the frontstretch and killed the motor as the piston was starting to burn ending the teams best effort since July resulting in another DNF.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 8/29/03
On this night, the winning streak was finally broken... by Mother Nature. After finishing third in the heat race, the skies opened up and the rest of the program was a wash out. Therefore credit was given for the feature event in the order they qualified.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 8/30/03
With dry and dusty track conditions, Duke Racing struggled to hook up the King Racing Chassis on the challanging track conditions. This resulted in Duke Racing running mid pack in the feature event and once again getting caught up in some one elses wreck as Duke Racing slowed for the caution flag and was ran over by the track menace for the teams 4th DNF in the last 6 races.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 9/5/03
Duke Racing struggled all night long for the first time this year at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park Friday night. After starting last in the qualifying event, Duke Racing scratched and clawed their way to the second position. After starting on the outside of the front row, Duke Racing quickly sank deep into the field. After falling back to the fifth position, Duke Racing rebounded for their worst race of the season with a fourth place effort.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 9/6/03
Duke Racing came a small step closer in figuring out the set up on the King Racing micro sprint chassis. After qualifying in the 13th position, Duke Racing quickly moved up to the 8th position in the opening laps. Through most of the race, Duke Racing would hold that position until handing on the car became very tight and started binding the chassis on the right rear. Then a series of caution flags flew in which Duke Racing would lose a series of positions by questionable scoring. Now buried in traffic, Duke Racing could not find a line to make up the lost positions as passing was very difficult. With three laps remaining, Duke Racing tried to make a move inside of a competitor for the 10th position, but was driven into the infield and had to slow to aviod collision. This caused the infamous track menace to come barreling full bore into the group of slowed cars and ran directly over the left side of the King Racing Chassis. Luckily, the track menace flipped and Duke Racing was able to continue. However in the final 2 laps, Duke Racing was unable to gain any ground and settled for a 14th place finish. Team engineers were somewhat pleased and believe that they are finally headed in the right direction.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 9/12/03
Duke Racing made the trip Friday night to the Selinsgrove Raceway Park. On this night Duke Racing rode the Illusion Racing Chassis home to a third place finish after being ran off the racing surface on the opening lap of the feature event. With the third place rally, Duke Racing clinched the 2003 Selinsgrove Raceway Park track championship.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 8/22/03
Friday night, Duke Racing made their weekly appearance at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park. Once again, the Illusion Racing Chassis was dialed in to perfection as the team cruised to the qualifying event win. After earning the pole position for the feature event, Duke Racing settled into the second position when the green flag fell on the event. After riding behind the leader for several laps, Duke Racing decided it was time to take over as they slide past the leader in turn 4 and pulled away from the rest of the field on their way to the teams 11th karting feature win of the season. The win also marked a career milestone as since the team was formed in 1996, Duke Racing has captured 150 karting feature events.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 8/23/03
Saturday night, Duke Racing hoped to rebound from what has been a dismal summer for the micro sprint operation. After 3 straight DNFs, Duke Racing came to the Greenwood Valley Action Track well prepared. In the practice session, the King Racing Chassis was working well, however did not seem to have the horsepower to keep up with some of the best micro racers in the state. After several adjustments to the power plant, Duke Racing lined up for the first of three qualifying events for the thirty cars that were on hand, on the outside of row 2. As the race began, track conditions became very dry and slick, and Duke Racing slid back to the sixth and final transfer position while battling a very loose racecar. Fortunately, Duke Racing was able to hold on to the final transfer position and finish in the 6th position. Upon return to the pit area, several chassis adjustments were made by team engineers to fix the handling problems. Soon, it was feature time and Duke Racing started the event on the outside of row 8. After the 4-abreast parade lap, the green flag dropped. During the first few laps, Duke Racing experience a very tight condition due the track maintenance crew watered the racing surface directly before the feature. However, as the race progressed, the track began to dry out and the King Chassis began to free up and started to roll. By mid race, Duke Racing was sitting in the tenth position and joined a three-car battle for the 8th position. With three laps remaining, the caution flag flew for the final time and during the caution, Duke Racing made an in-cockpit adjustment to the right front shock in hopes of picking up a few more positions in the closing laps. Unfortunately, the adjustment went too far, and the King Racing Chassis became very loose once again when the race resumed. In the next lap, Duke Racing lost 3 positions to Scott Kishbaugh, Joel VanBuskirk, and Chad Thomas as the car lost all traction off the turns. On the final lap, Duke Racing was able to slip past VanBuskirk to earn their best finish since losing their rookie status as they crossed the line in the 12th position.

CLINTON COUNTY SPEEDWAY -- 8/20/03
Wednesday night, Duke Racing ventured to a special midweek show at the Clinton County Speedway near Lock Haven to compete with an extrodinary field of micro sprint racers. During the practice session, the King Racing Chassis was not up to par and before the heat race, team engineers changed about everything but the kitchen sink to try to free up the chassis. After starting on the pole for the qualifying event, Duke Racing missed a shift on the inital start, which in turn, left the entire pack go by on lap 1. After regaining composure, Duke Racing took to the high side and started an attempt to make up lost ground. Unfortunately, when the checkered flag fell on the qualifying event, Duke Racing was on the losing end of a 3 car battle for the 4th and final qualifying position and was relugated to the B-Main. As the bottom side of track surface began to slick off, Duke Racing lined up in the inside of row 4 for the B-Main event. As the green flag waived, the car fanned out to three and four wide racing around te 1/3-mile oval. After losing a few positions on the initail start, Duke Racing was able to rally to the 6th position which was just good enough to transfer to the A-Main. Having missed the proper gear combination and not having a chain the proper size to run the correct combination, Duke Racing went out for the feature event starting in the 22nd position in hopes of just gaining some valuable experience against some of the best micro sprint racers in the state. When the green flag dropped, the racing became fast and furious with cars running side-by-side, three and four wide. Duke Racing took to the high side of the speedway and gained a couple positions before diving to the bottom to gain a couple more. About 10 laps into the race, Duke Racing was racing on the outside of another car when the car clipped the inside burm of the racetrack in turn one, spun sideways and backed into the left rear of the Duke Racing entry. After making contact, Duke Racing then procedded to flip the King Racing Chassis, bringing out the red flag. After rescue workers returned the car to the upright position, the driver emurged from the car with no serious injuries. Bad Luck, please, please go away!

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 8/08/03
Duke Racing wins again in dramatic fashion. After several breif rain showers blanketed the speedway surface, Duke Racing won their 9th karting feature of the season by sliding underneath a lapped car and the leader in turn one with two laps remaining in the event.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 8/09/03
When it rains, it pours. Duke Racing was caught up in a wreck during the feature event causing heavy damage to the Duke Racing entry. Another DNF for the micro sprint operation.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 8/15/03
Duke Racing dominated the evening by winning the teams 149th career feature event in the karting ranks. With their 10th win of the season, the team took a commanding 408 point lead in the championship standings.

GREENWOOD SPEEDWAY -- 8/01/03
Friday Night, Duke Racing made an unexpected trip to Greenwood Speedway, the site of their 2001 track championship, after a brief rain shower cancelled the events for the evening at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park. It did not take long for the team to refamiliarize themselves with the speedway as the team was lightning fast in the practice sessions. As the night went on, Duke Racing kept dialing in the Illusion Racing Chassis to near perfection. The result was a dominating performance as Duke Racing went undefeated for the evening by winning all qualifying events and feature events in the Stock Light and Stock Medium divisions in dominating fashion. The pair of wins raised the career karting victory count to 147, which coupled with the teams victories in the micro sprint class, brought the team career win total to 151.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 7/25/03
Friday night, Duke Racing made their usual Friday night appearance at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park. Duke Racing was able to finish second in the heat race event setting up another shootout with fellow Illusion Racing Chassis driver Jason Martin for the feature event. Illusion Racing Chassis has dominated the medium division at Selinsgrove Raceway Park for the past month, finishing first and second in every Friday night event. This night would be no different, as when the green flag dropped, the two karts ran side-by-side through turns one and two and down the backstretch. At that point Duke Racing was ousted from the second position as the field tried to railroad the team to the back. However, the Duke Power Racing Engine ignited a charge down the frontstretch and Duke Racing passed 4 karts heading into turn one. After sliding into the third position, Duke Racing quickly disposed of the second place kart and set their sites on the leader. After reeling in the leader, Duke Racing sat inches off the pace setters bumper, looking for an opportunity to pounce. With four laps remaining, Duke Racing made a change off of turn four and pulled along side the leader, however, the leader was able to close the door before Duke Racing completed the pass. With two laps left in the race, Duke Racing pulled off their trademark turn two pass and beat the leader to turn three and grabbed the lead. Duke Racing was able to hold off the challenger and record their 6th feature win of the season at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 7/26/03
After a week full of long shop hours working to improve the micro sprint car operation, Duke Racing headed back to the Greenwood Valley Action Track on Saturday for competition. With a brand new power plant on board, Duke Racing began working out the bugs during the practice session. Pleased with the results thus far, Duke Racing confidence was high after drawing the pole position for the third heat race event. With track conditions being wetter than normal, Duke Racing team engineers did not have the optimum setup in the King Racing Chassis as team battled a very tight condition in the heat race event and could only manage a fifth place finish. After making several chassis adjustments for the feature event, Duke Racing lined up in the 15th position for the feature event. When the green flag dropped, Duke Racing was able to slice through traffic on the bottom of the racetrack and blast into the top ten on the opening lap only to have a car spin directly in front of the pack racing 3-wide as Duke Racing threaded the needle through the wreck to avoid disaster. Unfortunately a complete single file restart would negate all the positions gained. As the race resumed, Duke Racing was able to work their way up to the 11th position when the teams streak of bad luck continued. Four laps into the feature event, the throttle cable in the King Racing Chassis snapped, leaving the driver with no control and the throttle wide open with no way to slow down. Immediately, the driver hit the kill switch and was forced to retire from the event.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 7/19/03
Saturday Night, Duke Racing made the trip to the Greenwood Valley Action Track with the micro sprint operation. This night would be the teams first attempt at competing against some of the best micro sprint racers in the state in the 270cc division after they cleared their rookie strips after claiming 4 feature wins in the rookie division. The night did not start off very well as the team had trouble getting their engine to run at full song. After the practice session was over, a faulty spark plug was found to be the culprit. Undaunted, Duke Racing lined up for the qualifying event on the inside of row 2. After several attempts at starting the race, the field was ordered to single file formation, putting Duke Racing in the third position. As the race started, Duke Racing started to apply pressure to the leaders, however, as the King Racing Chassis ventured off turn two; the chain left the sprocket of the King Racing Chassis, in turn, parking Duke Racing in the infield for the remainder of the race. Upon return to the pit area, team engineers tried to fix the damage to the drive train of the King Racing Chassis. With only 2 laps at full speed on the car for the evening, Duke Racing decided to leave the chassis setup alone for the feature event in which they would start last in the 24-car field. As the race progressed, Duke Racing slowly clawed their way through the field. With 3 laps remaining, Duke Racing had worked their way into the 12th position and was battling for a top ten finish when the car in front of Duke Racing hit a tire in turn one. As Duke Racing slowed to avoid a collision, the car behind Duke Racing punted the King Racing Chassis, spinning Duke Racing around in a ring, directly in front of oncoming traffic. With only 2 laps remaining in the race, Duke Racing had to tag the rear of the field once again. Over the final 2 laps, Duke Racing picked up a few positions and rounded out the night with a 17th place finish. This week, Duke Racing team engineers will go to work to ensure nights like this will be not be the norm.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 7/11/03
Friday night, Duke Racing returned to the teams home track, Selinsgrove Raceway Park for karting action. During the practice session, the team dialed in the Illusion Racing Chassis to perfection. In the qualifying event, Duke Racing lined up on the outside of row 5, and in 8 short laps, quickly shredded through the field until they were in the runner up position. Duke Racing then quickly set in hot pursuit of the leader. After reeling in the leader, Duke Racing made a move off turn four on the final lap, but it would not be enough, as Duke Racing would have to settle for an outside front row starting spot for the feature event. As a full moon began to rise over the speedway, no one could have predicted what was in store for the feature event. Duke Racing started on the outside of row 1, however, when the green flag waived, the Illusion Racing Chassis was pinned on the outside groove for a couple laps. When Duke Racing finally was able to return to the preferred racing groove, they were in third position. Duke Racing wasted no time, immediately reclaiming the runner-up position and set their sites on the leader. After a few laps, Duke Racing powered by the leader off turn two and checked out from the rest of the field. With four laps remaining, the caution flag flew over the field. With the full moon glowing in the sky, strange things started to develop. Somehow, the bolthole holding the fuel tank to the engine block became stripped and the screw fell out. This caused the carburetor bolts to start working their way loose. With the carburetor falling off, the field was stopped by track officials on the backstretch for realignment. When this happened, the Duke Power Racing Engine stalled and required to be restarted. At this point, Duke Racing was told by the track official to lead the field to the green flag. Upon returning to the starting line, the restart was waived off and the powers that be relegated Duke Racing to the rear of the 14-car field with only 4 laps remaining. After a brief discussion with a track official who also did not know why that call was made, Duke Racing tagged the rear of the field. When the race resumed, Duke Racing dropped the hammer on the Duke Power Racing Engine and shredded their way through the field like a tornado through a trailer park. In two laps, Duke Racing stormed up to the third position and swiftly disposed of the runner up kart and set hot pursuit on the leader with one lap remaining. Duke Racing devoured the 10-kart length lead in turns one and two and stormed down the backstretch. Duke Racing then pulled the Illusion Racing Chassis to the inside as the two karts came to the checkered flag, however, came up about 2 feet short of capturing another win. After the race, track officials and promoters offered no valid reason for the call against Duke Racing in the feature event. Therefore costing the team two wins in the last 3 weeks. Stay tuned, things are just starting to get interesting.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 7/12/03
Saturday, Duke Racing took their micro sprint operation to the Greenwood Valley Action Track. This week team engineers came up with a different version of the setup that the team had been trying to utilize the past two weeks. Early indications showed much potential, so team engineers decided to try it in the qualifying event. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing started shotgun on the field in the first heat race. When the green flag dropped, Duke Racing went to work, racing wheel to wheel with their open-wheeled competitors in the strict confines of the action track. With a few laps remaining, Duke Racing slid the King Racing Chassis into the second position. Duke Racing then gained some ground on the leader, but time ran out before they could make a serious challenge. Upon return to the pit area, team engineers decided that the track conditions were migrating towards the favor of the setup under the King Racing Chassis, and decided to make no changes for the feature event. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing started on the outside of row 2 for the feature event. As the pack raced off into turn one, Duke Racing made a bold outside move to move into the runner up position. After an early caution flag, Duke Racing pulled the trigger on the leader and took the lead off turn two. As the rest of the race went non-stop, Duke Racing pulled away to a huge advantage over the rest of the field to earn their 4th victory of the season in the micro sprint operation. This victory accomplishes phase II of the micro sprint operation as next week, Duke Racing will have their rookie status removed and will have to move up and compete with some of the best micro racers in the area.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 7/03/03
Thursday night kicked off a huge weekend for racing with the Holiday Special race at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park. On this night, Duke Racing would be competing in the special money race as well as the medium division. Caught off guard with the much different than normal track conditions, Duke Racing had to react quickly for the qualifying events. During the qualifying events, Duke Racing swiftly got the Illusion Racing Chassis rolling on route to a pole and third place qualifying efforts. However, the main events would be a different story. Duke Racing would be caught on the wrong set of tires not once, but in both main events. This led to the teams worst karting finishes of the season with a 4th place in the medium division and a very disappointing 6th place effort in the special race.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 7/04/03
Friday night, Duke Racing returned to the Selinsgrove Speedway Park to regroup. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing started next to last in the medium division qualifying event. During the heat race, Duke Racing battled through the field to the second position with two laps remaining. Over the final laps, Duke Racing began to close on the leader and made a challenge off turn four, but came up a half of a kart length short. With the Illusion Racing Chassis not performing up to standards, Duke Racing team engineers went to work on the kart and found the problem. After making the necessary adjustments, Duke Racing was ready for the feature event. After lining up on the outside of the front row, the green flag dropped, and Duke Racing powered the Illusion Racing Chassis in front of the field off turn two. After last weeks controversial loss, this week there would be no doubt as Duke Racing powered out to an incredible half track lead by the time the checkered flag waived to record the teams fifth karting win of the season.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 7/05/03
Saturday afternoon, Duke Racing took their micro sprint operation to the Greenwood Valley Action Track for competition. Still using a new experimental setup from last week, Duke Racing tried to get a handle on the King Racing Chassis during the practice sessions. After a few adjustments, Duke Racing lined up 7th in the first qualifying event. The Skeetz powered, King Racing Chassis wasted little time marching to the front and was in the runner up position midway through the race. As the race wound down, Duke Racing made a challenge for the lead off of turn four heading towards the checkered flag, but came up a little bit short. As the car returned to the pit area, team engineers went to work and came up with several chassis adjustments to try for the feature event. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing got to start the feature event on the outside of the front row. As the green flag waived, the pole sitter jumped the initial start and the yellow was thrown. As this was happening the fourth place starter slammed hard into the turn two wall, bringing out the red flag. When the race resumed, Duke Racing quickly took the lead on lap 2 and survived many caution flag restarts to win their third micro race in the teams 10th race.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 6/27/03
Friday night, Duke Racing made the usual Friday night trip to the Selinsgrove Raceway Park where the team has been riding a 4-race winning streak. After dialing in the Illusion Racing Chassis during the practice session, Duke Racing was ready for heat race action. Lining up on the outside of row 2, it was not long until the Duke Power Racing Engine took command over the field and led the way to the checkered flag. As the night wore on, track conditions became a concern as drier than normal conditions seemed to be prevailing. Nevertheless, team engineers decided to make no changes to the Illusion Racing Chassis. When the green flag dropped for the feature event, Duke Racing took command and stretched out a surmountable lead until a caution flag midway through the event bunched the field. When the race resumed, Duke Racing jumped out in front of the pack again. However with only a few laps remaining, the Burris tires began to overheat and the kart began to develop a severe tight condition in the corners. This allowed the second place kart to catch up to the leader. As Duke Racing tried to nurse the ailing kart to the checkered flag on the last lap, the second place kart made a bid for the lead. As the two karts crossed the checkered flag, the finish was so close that no one at the time was sure who had won. After the track officials had a huge debate, the second place kart was awarded the win and Duke Racing officially finished second. After the race was over, there were many spectators and some track officials that disputed that decision, including members of the Duke Racing camp. Even after videotape review, the members of the winning team were not sure that they had actually won. You win some, you lose some. Sometimes you win when you should not. Sometimes you loose when you win. As they say, That’s racing. Time to start a new streak.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 6/28/03
Saturday night, Duke Racing loaded up the micro sprint and made the journey to the Greenwood Valley Action Track where the team is currently enjoying a 2-race winning streak. The racing surface on this night would throw the team a curve, as the track became very dry, dusty, and slick. Duke Racing team engineers made some spring changes based on the advisement of King Racing Chassis. In the heat race, Duke Racing was able to move up from their 4th starting position to 2nd by the time the checkered flag dropped. After a horrible pill draw, Duke Racing would line up on the outside of row 3 for the feature event. As the green flag waived, Duke Racing settled into the fifth position. After a few laps, Duke Racing began to slowly slide by traffic. Battling a very loose condition off the corner that would not let the driver get back in the throttle without spinning the rear wheels, Duke Racing was able to climb into the top three by the time the caution flag flew shortly after the halfway point. On the restart, the second place runner missed a shift causing Duke Racing to run into the back of the car. This let the leader escape to a straightaway lead. Duke Racing was able to dispose of the second place car and tried to run down the leader. With three laps remaining, the final caution flag came out, giving Duke Racing one more shot at the leader. When the green flag flew, Duke Racing stood on the gas in attempt to wrestle away the lead, but could not manage enough forward bite to make the pass and had to settle for a second place finish.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 6/13/03
Friday night, Duke Racing was in action at their home track, Selinsgrove Raceway Park, where the team was hoping to extend a 3 race-winning streak. As the night started out, the Illusion Racing Chassis was hooked up as usual and Duke Racing was poised to add to this years win total. In the qualifying event, Duke Racing started on the rear of the field, but wasted no time in maneuvering through the pack. By lap 3, Duke Racing was up to the second position and set their sites on the race leader. After stalking the leader for several laps, Duke Racing finally executed a pass for the lead off turn two only to have the caution flag waive, negating the pass. When the qualifying event resumed, the leader managed to do some heavy blocking over the remaining 2 laps and held on to win while Duke Racing earned the outside pole for the feature event. As the feature event started, Duke Racing was shuffled from the outside of the front row to the fifth position after the first lap. As the field began to sting out, Duke Racing went to work with blazing speed. After a few short laps, Duke Racing sliced through the leaders and again began applying heavy pressure to the leader. By the halfway mark, Duke Racing shot by the leader off of turn 2 and captured the lead down the backstretch. Over the remaining laps, Duke Racing just pulled away from the pack to earn their 4th straight feature win at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 6/14/03
Saturday night, Duke Racing made their first visit back to the Greenwood Valley Action Track since the team won its first ever micro sprint race 3 weeks ago. After a brief rain shower, the track crew was able to prepare the racing surface to perfection. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing lined up in the 5th position for the qualifying event. When the green flag dropped, Duke Racing went to work, slowly moving up through the field. With a few laps remaining, Duke Racing powered their way into the runner up position and set their sites on the leader. As Duke Racing was starting to challenge for the lead, the checkered flag fell on the qualifying event. During the intermission, Duke Racing team engineers went to work in an attempt to turn up the wick on the King Racing Chassis. Lining up on the outside of the front row, Duke Racing quickly ducked in line after the green flag fell. After following the leader for 2 laps, Duke Racing swept to the bottom of turn two and took the lead. After surviving several yellow flags, Duke Racing was lightning in a bottle as they stretched their advantage over the field to nearly a half lap. With three laps remaining, near disaster struck when the engine began to stumble. With two laps to go, the engine began to sour as a coolant leak developed. As Duke Racing circled the speedway, trying desperately to nurse the King Racing Chassis to the finish, the white flag waived. With speeds reduced to a crawl, Duke Racing was able to get the car to the finish line in front of the pack as the checkered flag waived earning the teams second micro sprint car win of the season in as little as 8 races. With this win, Duke Racing also accomplished another first in winning a kart race and a micro race in the same weekend.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 6/6/03
Friday night, Duke Racing made the three-mile journey to Selinsgrove Raceway Park in attempt to extend their karting winning streak after winning the last 2 of the first 3 races at the speedway. With very wet track conditions, Duke Racing was able to dial in their Illusion Racing Chassis during the practice session. In the qualifying event, Duke Racing started on the outside of the front row and quickly moved into the lead on lap 2. When the checkered flag fell, Duke Racing was well in front of the pack. The feature event would prove much more exciting as Duke Racing started the race from the pole position. However, when the green flag dropped, the Illusion Racing Chassis had trouble receiving traction on the slick racing surface and fell into the third position. As the laps began to click on the scoreboard, heat began to build in the tires of the Illusion Racing Chassis, and the kart began to come alive. By lap 6, Duke Racing stormed off of turn 2, sliding into the runner up position. Two laps later, Duke Racing was running an inch off the bumper of the leader. Duke Racing then pulled the trigger off of turn 2 and pulled along side the leader. Just as this was happening, a kart spun on the racetrack, which brought out the caution flag and slowed the field. When the race resumed, Duke Racing stalked the leader, running directly in his tire tracks. Then with 5 laps remaining, Duke Racing attempted to execute their trademark turn two pass and was ran into the infield for their efforts, then once again fell in behind the leader. Slightly irritated by this unsportsman-like maneuver of desperation, Duke Racing started to apply heavy pressure to the leader over the remaining laps. As the laps wound down, the suspense started to build. Then with two laps to go, the lead duo charged off turn two and Duke Racing then choose this moment to drop the hammer and pull along side the leader down the back stretch. This time, however, Duke Racing was not going to be denied as when the leader tried their desperation tactics, Duke Racing charged hard into turn three and put a wheel to the leader and stormed into the lead. A lap later, Duke Racing recorded the teams third consecutive karting win at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park this season.

ALLEGANY MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY -- 6/7/03
After soggy conditions on Saturday forced the cancellation of the Greenwood Valley Action Track for the second straight week, Duke Racing decided to make a 3 and a half hour trip on Sunday for the teams first ever visit to the Allegany Mountain Speedway located in northwestern PA, approximately and hour north of DuBois for micro sprint car competition. Upon arrival to the speedway, the drivers were met with unreal track conditions, which resembled more of a plowed cornfield than a racetrack. The racetrack was completely saturated with water and the clay was wadding up like bubble gum as the cars attempted to race on the ¼ mile speedway during the practice sessions. After bottoming out on the canyon-sized ruts during practice, Duke Racing decided to raise the front of the car for the heat race. After drawing the worst pill in the bag, Duke Racing was obligated to starting at the rear of the field for the qualifying event, which would prove nearly fatal, as passing on this type of speedway was nearly impossible. During the heat race, Duke Racing battled poor track conditions and a very tight racecar, however was able to advance enough to earn a 19th place starting spot in the feature event. After the heat race, Duke Racing team engineers made many changes to the King Racing Chassis for the feature event. Also, during the intermission, Duke Racing were one of many teams to lobby the track promoters for some much needed track maintenance. Their teams wishes came true as the grader rolled onto the speedway surface in attempt to make track conditions better for the main event. At the start of the feature event, Duke Racing lined up on the inside of row 10, and proceeded to try and make the best out of a bad situation. Although the car was still on the tight side, during some early caution flags, the driver was able to make some in car shock and wing adjustments to try to improve the handling of the car. After 10 laps of the 25-lap feature, the King Racing Chassis began to start showing signs of life as slowly, but surely, Duke Racing started to move through the field. With passing still very difficult on the saturated racetrack, Duke Racing still managed to work their way into the top 10 with a few laps remaining as was able to keep up with the lead pack. With two lap remaining, a car in the lead pack hit the wall and several cars in the pack slowed dramatically in front of Duke Racing, causing them to brake heavily to avoid contact. When this happened, unfortunately, Duke Racing was forced to downshift twice in order to accelerate up to speed and the caution flag did not come out, and as a result lost 3 positions in the incident. When the checkered flag fell, Duke Racing crossed the line with a respectable 12th place effort.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 5/30/03

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 5/17/03
After Mother Nature once again spoiled Friday nights racing activities, Saturday afternoon, Duke Racing loaded up the micro sprint car operation and headed up to the Greenwood Valley Action Track. Several changes were made to the engine program during the week in the never-ending battle for speed. These changes were apparent during the practice session, as Duke Racing was touring the 1/5-mile oval with blazing speed. The team was very satisfied with the cars performance and made no changes to the car. In the qualifying vent, Duke Racing lined up in the 7th position and wasted no time, advancing to third after the first lap. After a brief caution, Duke Racing made their way up to second, closing rapidly on the leader when the leader lost control and spun in turn 2. When the race resumed, Duke Racing inherited the lead and held off all challengers on the way to the heat race victory. During the intermission, Duke Racing decided to turn it up a notch by bolting a new right rear tire on the King Racing Chassis, turned up the wick on the Skeetz built racing engine. At the start of the race, Duke Racing dropped the hammer at the drop of the green flag and slid into the lead. Battling a loose car, Duke Racing made a couple wing adjustments during an early caution period. When the race resumed, the King Racing Chassis was on a rail, slicing through lapped traffic like a hot knife through butter, Duke Racing pulled to nearly a half-track advantage. By the drop of the checkered flag, Duke Racing was ready to lap the sixth place driver and recorded the teams first ever career micro sprint car feature win and the team celebrated in victory lane.

RAINED OUT

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 5/10/03
After rain spoiled Friday nights racing agenda, on Saturday, Duke Racing loaded up the micro sprint operation and headed to the Greenwood Valley Action Track. Slowly, but methodically, Duke Racing team engineers headed by crew chief Brian Snyder, have been able to make changes to the King Racing Chassis during the week, which has led to a steady improvement on the race track. Once again this week, several changes were made at Snyders recommendation. Once the team arrived at the Action Track, it became apparent that the changes had worked, as during the practice session, Duke Racing was able to keep up with some of the most established drivers at the Action Track. Satisfied with the cars performance, the team did not make any more changes for the qualifying race. Lining up 7th in the field, Duke Racing quickly found themselves in a bumper-to-bumper gridlock as a sea of cars covered every possible grove around the speedway. After a few laps, Duke Racing was finally able to clear themselves of most of the carnage and set sail for the leaders. However, as the engine began to stumble, Duke Racing could not catch the lead trio as the checkered flag dropped on the qualifying event. Upon return to the pit area, the team decided to perform some engine maintenance and try to turn up the wick on the pack. Satisfied with the cars performance, no chassis adjustments were made for the feature event. By virtue of their heat race finish, Duke Racing lined up on the outside of row 2 for the feature event. As the green flag dropped, after contemplating a bold outside move for the lead, Duke Racing quickly ducked in behind the lead trio. On lap 2, Duke Racing swiftly blasted by the second and third place drivers and set pursuit on the leader. Slowly, Duke Racing began to reel in the leader until near disaster struck. At the halfway point, Duke Racing clipped a tire in the infield in turn three, which sent the King Racing Chassis completely vertical, giving the driver a perfect view of the moon. Undaunted, Duke Racing landed the automobile on all fours, grabbed a gear and continued to pursue the leader without losing a position. However, during this aerial stunt, Duke Racing lost nearly a straightaway to the leader. With 3 laps remaining, a caution flag slowed the field, giving Duke Racing one more shot at earning their first ever micro sprint car feature win. When racing resumed, Duke Racing tried to apply heavy pressure to the leader, but the leader did not crack and Duke Racing had to settle for their best micro sprint performance of their brief 5-race career, finishing the night with a second place effort.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 5/02/03
Friday night, Duke Racing made the 3-mile journey to the Selinsgrove Raceway Park for the nights karting competition. The Duke Power Illusion Racing Chassis was perfect off the trailer in the practice session and no major changes were needed for the qualifying event. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing lined up on the inside of row two for the heat race. When the green flag dropped, Duke Racing powered into the runner up position. It was not long until the Illusion Racing Chassis swept to the inside off turn two and took the lead and cruised to the heat race win. Satisfied with their performance in the heat race, only a small air pressure adjustment was made for the feature event. Lining up on the pole for the feature event, Duke Racing dropped the hammer as the green flag fell, pulling away from the rest of the field and cruising to the teams first feature win of the season.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 5/03/03
After a long week in the shop, Duke Racing took their micro sprint car to the Greenwood Valley Action Track for competition. During the week, Duke Racing made many changes to the car to try to promote better handling conditions on the often wet and tacky surface of the action track. However, after tuning the car to wet and tacky conditions, the team was greeted with dry and slick conditions for the evening. In practice, the King Racing Chassis was on a rail, keeping up with some of the best micro racers at the Action Track. For the qualifying event, team engineers decided on only making a small air pressure adjustment. Lining up in the fifth position immediately following a track watering session, Duke Racing carefully circled the track and finished the heat race in the fourth position. Upon return to the pit area, team engineers discussed a variety of changes to make to the King Racing Chassis to cure a loose off condition. The conclusion was to make no changes and see how the car would react in the feature event. This would give the team data and experience, which should prove valuable for future events. Lining up on the outside of row two, Duke Racing settled into the pack in the sixth position after a caution flag on lap 2. With the car struggling to acquire the proper traction off the corners, and kicking sideways when trying to accelerate, Duke Racing was able tediously move into the fourth position by mid-race. Before a late race caution flag slowed the field, Duke Racing was making significant gains on the second place car during a long green flag run, however, the right rear tire on the King Racing Chassis was completely fried at this point and Duke Racing could not improve their position over the remaining laps and gave a career best effort crossing the checkered flag in third place. After the race, team engineers gained a tremendous amount of information about the reactions of the King Racing Chassis and left the track confident that they can make the car better and inch ever closer to victory lane.

SELINSGROVE RACEWAY PARK -- 4/25/03
Friday night, Duke Racing made their first trip of the season as the defending karting track champion at the Selinsgrove Raceway Park. After working out the bugs during the practice session, Duke Racing lined up in the 8th position for the qualifying race. With the extremely tacky surface, the competition seemed stronger than ever as Duke Racing could only muster their way up to 4th by the time the checkered flag dropped. During the break, Duke Racing team engineers went to work on the Duke Power Illusion Racing Chassis. After a few minor adjustments, Duke Racing lined up on the outside of row 2 for the feature event. When the green flag dropped, the rough track conditions worsened on the backstretch as the Illusion Racing Chassis began to dig into the racing surface going into turn 3 on every lap. This slowed the Duke Racing entrys lap times severely. However, by the halfway point, Duke Racing was able to wrestle away the third position and set their sites on the leaders. After running the leaders down, the caution flag flew several times, slowing the pace. With two laps to go, the final caution flag came out and the race was set up to be a 2-lap shootout with some of Selinsgrove Raceway Parks finest drivers. When the green flag dropped, the two leaders went side by side down the backstretch. Duke Racing thought about making it 3 wide for the lead, but opted to trail and see what developed. It turned out to be a smart move as the two leaders collided in turn three as Duke Racing swept to the inside and moved into second. With one lap remaining, Duke Racing tried to make a charge for the win, but the kart bottomed out severely in turn three and all momentum was lost. Duke Racing crossed the finish line on the leaders bumper and had to settle for a second place finish in the first race of the season.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 4/26/03
After a day of rain, Saturday evening, Duke Racing loaded up the micro sprint car and headed back to the Greenwood Valley Action Track. Determined to better last weeks 9th place finish, Duke Racing worked on the car during the practice session and started turning relatively quick speeds. However, a brief sprinkle coated the racetrack before the qualifying event, which created a very treacherous slick condition. Starting on the outside of row 4, Duke Racing struggled circling around the race track as the car picked up a severe push on entry into the corner as the front of the car did not seem to have any bite. Duke Racing was still able not to loose any positions and finished the heat race in the 8th position. Upon return to the pit area, Duke Racing team engineers worked their tails off making numerous changed to the King Racing Chassis. Hopeful the car would work better for the feature event, Duke Racing lined up on the outside of row four as the green flag dropped. As the amount of bite in the track increased dramatically, all the adjustments the pit crew made was still not enough as the car still pushed through the corner on entry. During the race, the driver made several attempts to make the car drivable with in car shock adjustments. After maxing out the left rear shock adjustment, Duke Racing finally got the car to turn, but it was still was very tight. Throughout the course of the race, Duke Racing was able to slowly work their way into the top five and remain there until the checkered flag waived. Somewhat satisfied with a second top five finish in their third attempt, team engineers left the racetrack scratching their heads. The crew will go to work in the shop this week to try to eliminate the problem in an effort to make the micro sprint operation experiment a success.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 4/19/03
Saturday night, Duke Racing Inc. made their second appearance of the season with the micro sprint car operation at the Greenwood Valley Action Track. During the brief practice session, the Duke Racing Inc. entry seemed to be quick out of the gate. With a minor engine tuning adjustment, Duke Racing Inc. was ready for the qualifying event. In the heat race, Duke Racing Inc. started from the pole position by luck of the draw and walked away from the rest of the field after the green flag dropped to record the teams first ever micro sprint heat race victory. By virtue of the heat race win, Duke Racing Inc. then made their way to the flag stand for a pill pull that would determine the starting line up for the feature event. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing Inc. lined up on the outside of the third row for the feature event. When the green flag dropped, the engine seemed to stumble trying to get up to speed and Duke Racing Inc. lost a couple positions and fell in line in the eighth position. After a few laps under green, Duke Racing Inc. began to pour on the steam as the team battled their way into the top five. A lap later, Duke Racing Inc. made a pass to overtake the fourth position. At this point in the feature event, the leaders started to encounter lapped traffic. With about 8 laps to go, Duke Racing Inc. engaged in a furious battle for the third position when Duke Racing Inc. trapped the third place runner behind a lapped car and headed to the high side of the speedway. As Duke Racing Inc. tried to complete the pass, going into the first turn, this planned backfired drastically as the lapped automobile decided to change lanes and moved up directly in front of the Duke Racing entry. Contact was made with the lapped car and the two vehicles spun into the infield where the Duke Racing Inc. King Racing Chassis was hit by a third competitor. After the caution flag was waived, Duke Racing Inc. was push started to rejoin the field in 19th place with a bent left front wheel and a collapsed top wing. When the green flag dropped for the remaining laps, Duke Racing Inc. tried to mount a hard charge to the front, but with so little time remaining, they were only able to cross the checkered flag in the 9th position.

GREENWOOD VALLEY ACTION TRACK -- 4/12/03
On Saturday afternoon, the clouds and rain that has plagued the racing season thus far faded into blue sky and sunshine for the first race of the season for Duke Racing Inc. On this historic occasion, Duke Racing Inc. made the micro sprint car debut at their old stomping ground, Greenwood Valley Action Track. After what seems like hundreds of hours preparing the new King Racing Chassis over the wintertime period, Duke Racing Inc. ventured onto the racing surface for the practice session. After making a few laps, the car seemed to react very strangely while circling the fifth mile oval. Upon returning to the pit area, Duke Racing Inc. consulted with the chassis manufacturer, and discovered that there was a flaw in the initial set up of the car. After correcting the setup, Duke Racing Inc. was ready for their qualifying event. By luck of the draw, Duke Racing lined up on the outside of row five of the eleven-car heat race. When the green flag dropped, the Duke Racing Inc. entry just did not seem to get up and run as fast as the other competitors, however, they were able to manage a seventh place finish. Upon return to the pit area, team engineers tried to diagnose a push condition and lack of horsepower problem that the car seemed to have during the qualifying event. The dedicated pit crew and engine department made numerous changes to the engine setup along with a few chassis adjustments in an effort to try to make the car run faster. Lining up on the inside of the seventh row in the 21-car field, Duke Racing Inc. set a goal of just finishing the race in one piece. After a few early race cautions, Duke Racing Inc. found themselves in tenth place by attrition. About 7 laps into the 20-lap feature event, the car began to show signs of life as slowly, Duke Racing Inc. began to pick up speed. By the halfway point, Duke Racing Inc. had gained several positions and was running in seventh place. Over the last 10 laps, Duke Racing Inc. really poured on the steam as they started slicing through traffic like a hot knife through butter. With two laps to go, Duke Racing Inc. was running in the fourth position and decided to make a challenge for a top three finish, buy pulling along side the third place car going into turn one, however the driver was able to block the pass and Duke Racing Inc. had to settle for a very satisfying fourth place finish.

DAYTONA MUNICIPAL STADIUM -- 12/27/02
On Day one of the World Championships at the Daytona Municipal Stadium, Duke Racing Inc. would enter the Stock Light class that consisted of over 140 entries. After mixing and preparing various chemicals during the morning hours and treating the four Maxxis Racing Tires on the Illusion Racing Chassis, Duke Racing Inc. was a rocket in the morning practice sessions. Seemingly satisfied with the kart right of the trailer, Duke Racing Inc. was able to tour the lime rock surface 8th quick in the first round of qualifying. This locked Duke Racing Inc. in the fourth row for the feature event. With little racing experience racing at night at the Daytona racetrack, Duke Racing Inc. only made a sight air pressure adjustment for the feature event. After lining the Illusion Racing Chassis on the front stretch in front of a packed stadium grandstand, the 30 best drivers in the country were called out, the invocation was given and a stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner was sung. After a brief fireworks display, the command was given to fire the engines. As the karts circled the speedway, the tension began to mount. When the green flag dropped, Duke Racing Inc. fought to get to the bottom of the speedway from their outside row 4 starting position. Unfortunally, these drivers were the best of the best and would not give an inch. After circling the speedway for 3 laps on the outside lane, Duke Racing Inc. backslid all the way to 20th place. After getting in line, Duke Racing Inc. began to pick up a few positions and when the green flag dropped, Duke Racing Inc. found themselves in the 16th position, mid-pack among the best drivers in the country.

DAYTONA MUNICIPAL STADIUM -- 12/28/02
On the second day, Duke Racing Inc. decided to enter the Stock Medium class. This was by far the largest and most competitive class in World Championships. Near 200 of the best drivers in the country competed in this class. During practice, Duke Racing Inc. had the Illusion Racing Chassis in the wind once again. With several minor chassis adjustments made from the previous day, Duke Racing Inc. was ready for qualifying. With an early draw, Duke Racing Inc. was fearful that an early qualifying attempt would hamper their chances since the tendency is for the track to get faster later in the qualifying order. Undaunted, Duke Racing Inc. went out and laid down a blistering lap that would put them on the proverbial pole position. It would be a few sessions later until they were knocked off the pole position. By the time the 200 karts completed the first round of qualifying, Duke Racing Inc. was 7th quick of the 200 karts. This was in a field where the likes of multi Grand National Champion, Todd Miller, and the previous nights winner, Stephanie Pitts did not qualify. Pumped of the feature event, Duke Racing Inc. made several changes to the Illusion Racing Chassis based on what team engineers learned from the previous night. Lining up on the inside of row 4, Duke Racing Inc. blasted down the front stretch as the green flag dropped. On lap 2, Duke Racing Inc. slid into the fifth position and started running down the leaders. A lap later, Duke Racing Inc. made a move for the fourth position coming off turn 2 when the fourth place driver through a block. Duke Racing Inc. tried to miss hitting the driver, however the kart behind Duke Racing Inc. pushed the Illusion Racing Chassis up and over the left-rear tire of the 4th place driver. This incident caused Duke Racing Inc. to lose all their momentum and free-fall though the field as the drivers went down the backstretch. At this point, Duke Racing Inc. was stuck in the middle of a pack of drivers who seemed like they would run over their own mother for last place. When the dust finally settled, Duke Racing Inc. has a very respectable, however somewhat disappointing 18th place finish.

DAYTONA MUNICIPAL STADIUM -- 12/29/02
On the third day, Duke Racing Inc. was one of nearly 100 entered the Controlled Stock Heavy class. Even though Duke Racing Inc. never competed in this heavy of a weight class, they though they would give it a shot. Track officials decided to make slight alterations to the speedway surface by moving the corners out 3-4 feet. This played havoc on the setup used the previous two days by Duke Racing Inc. Duke Racing Inc. fought with the Illusion Racing Chassis most of the day and for the first time since their arrival, Duke Racing Inc. did not qualify for the main with a 32nd place qualifying effort.

DAYTONA MUNICIPAL STADIUM -- 12/30/02
On the fourth day, Duke Racing Inc. entered the Stock heavy class which had nearly 100 entries. After working on the setup all day, Duke Racing Inc. was finally able to find the handle by the end of practice. Duke Racing Inc. team engineers then decided to make a camber adjustment for qualifying. This adjustment proved detrimental, as the kart seemed to lose front tire grip. The result was Duke Racing Inc. qualified 38th quick and was forced to second round. Upon return to the pit area, Duke Racing Inc. decided to go back to the setup they started the week with and in second round qualifying, Duke Racing Inc. picked up the pace with an effort that was 5th quick in the second round. This would be good enough for a 25th starting position for the feature event. After a few slight adjustments, Duke Racing Inc. was ready for the final event at this years World Championships. At the drop of the green flag, Duke racing Inc. was on a mission. The Illusion Racing Chassis was glued to the speedway surface, passing karts at will. Moving up from the teams 25th starting position, Duke Racing Inc. started knocking on the door on the top 10 when going into turn 3, a kart turned down on the Illusion Racing Chassis, causing both karts to come to a stop in turn 4. Duke Racing Inc. was then back at the rear of the field with NO caution flag. When Duke Racing Inc. got going, they were nearly a half lap behind the lead pack. However, Duke Racing Inc. was on a rail and was possibly the fasted kart on the track as by the end of the race, Duke Racing Inc. cut the defecate to a mere half straightaway when the checkered flag fell as they crossed the line in 18th place. The time sheets showed that only 4 other drivers had a quicker time posted during the race. After only qualifying for 1 of 7 previous attempts at Daytona, Duke Racing Inc. made 3 out of 4 feature events this year. When you consider the names of top national racers who did not qualify, this was quite an accomplishment.

Duke Racing Inc. would like to thank Midnight Power and congradulate all of the other Midnight Power customers that gave Midngight Power an outstanding showing at Daytona. We would also like to thank all of our family and friends that put up with the hectic holiday schedule and supported the incredible effort put forth this year by Duke Racing Inc. at the World Championships.
